“Preparation for Confirmation should aim at leading the Christian toward a more intimate union with Christ and a more lively familiarity with the Holy Spirit- His actions, His gifts, and His biddings- in order to be more capable of assuming the apostolic responsiblities of Christian life.  To this end, catechesis for Confirmation should strive to awaken a sense of belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ, the universal Church as well as the parish community.  The latter bears special responsibility for the preparation of confirmands.” (CCC 1309)

In order to encourage all students to develop a sense of belonging to the parish community, all students in both first and second year must participate in at least 10 hours of ‘Fellowship’ within St. Paul’s Parish.

Through our Baptismal promises, we are asked to carry on the work and ministry of Jesus.  During this time of preparation, all students, in both the first and second year, are required to participate in at least 10 hours of parish-based community service yearly.  Approved service projects will be offered to introduce students to the various parish ministries while teaching them how to responsibly participate in the life, mission, and work of their faith community.  Upon completion of each project, students are to submit a completed service/fellowship form to the Religious Education Office.
